first day of school
Today was Temu's first day back to school at Sunnyside! Over the past 2 weeks Sunnyside moved from its old home on Smith campus to its very own building with new spaces, floors, paint, cubbies, a transplanted playground, and all! This year his teachers are Betsy and Katie, and they both gave him a thumbs-up on his first day!
end of summer
Every summer feels like it goes by quickly, but this summer seemed to especially fly by. We got home from Utah, daddy headed back to a long work stretch, and mama was asked to be president of the board at Temu's school. Grammie and Grampie came for two quick visits while on their way to-and-from Maine, giving mama much needed time to work at Sunnyside. Here are some highlights from the last couple weeks:
Photo Shoot
For Mother's Day, Shelley was given the gift of a professional family photo shoot. The photographer, Jen Lucas, was a parent in the last class Shelley taught in Madison. Utah in July
We had a great trip to Utah in July - Matt was at a conference in Las Vegas, but joined us afterwards. Temu had so much fun with his cousins, aunts, and uncles. When it was time to leave for the airport he said, "No, mama, I need to stay in this house and play planes with Jack." Don't worry, we'll be back in October!
