Christmas Day 2013

First off, a few more pictures from yesterday.  This is Temu at church last night with his new best friend Russ.  Do you recognize him?  You saw him in the blog yesterday as Santa.  Don't worry, Temu never had a clue.

Here are a few Christmas Eve portraits.

Finally, we made it to Christmas Day.  This video is a little long, but it shows Temu waking up to find that Santa left him presents.

Most of the day was spent lounging and playing with toys . . .

but we also found time for a little sledding.

December Events

A lot has happened this month.  We started out with a Christmas tree finding expedition.

Don't worry, we didn't forget him on the roof.

The expedition ended with a porcupine sighting.  They are freaky looking animals!

Here's Temu with his tree, which he proudly decorated all by himself.

Enjoying Starbucks drinks on a Saturday morning.  Coffee for momma, steamed milk for Temu.

Later that day Daddy and Temu went to the U-Mass vs. BYU basketball game, which U-Mass won 105-96.  I'm pretty sure the shot clock only went under 10 seconds once.

The next day we decorated a gingerbread house.  I'm still not sure how he didn't vomit after an hour of this.

Today we went to Look Park to see Santa and his trains.  Temu was very excited by the Polar Express train, which he pointed out to us about 100 times.

Here Santa's helpers looked up Temu and found his name on the nice list.  Everybody was excited about that.

Then Santa called and asked that Temu be sent back for a meeting.

Temu got right to the point with Santa.  "I'm Temu.  I want a mermaid".

Finally we had to see the trains again before going out for burgers.

Happy Halloween!

This year for Halloween Temu wanted to be a fire-breathing dragon!  This made things pretty easy in the costume department as all we had to do was make a few tweaks to last year's dinosaur costume.  All we needed were some dragon wings (thank you Auntie Carrie!), complete with sparkly scales, and fire.  It poured rain all day, but stopped for just about an hour - plenty of time for Temu and his buddy, Avery, to go trick-or-treating! He took one nibble of just about every piece of candy he got!

New Hampshire/Vermont

We took advantage of Daddy having 4 days off in a row (miraculous!) and took a little trip to Vermont and New Hampshire.  We spent some time visiting a farm and hiking in Woodstock,Vermont, including seeing "Vermont's Little Grand Canyon" (also knows as the Quechee Gorge").  It was really nice to be together!
