Cecret Lake

Today we ventured to Cecret (pronounced with an /s/ - Secret) Lake in Little Cottonwood Canyon. It was a beautiful hike and hanging out at the crystal clear lake at the top was a great reward!

When we're not at IKEA or the Home Depot...

We have pulled ourselves away from unpacking and countless trips to Home Depot to do some really fun things in the city!

 *The next 2 photos really deserve their own post. Temu found a new use for the paint roller - obviously, a lawn mower, which he proudly parks next to Mama's in the garage.  You can't buy an imagination like his!!*

Happy Birthday Temu!

Temu turned 4 on July 6th, and as you can see, he was really excited about it (and his much anticipated Angry Birds birthday cake)!

After living in SLC just a couple of days we celebrated our first holiday - the 4th of July!  Temu, with the help of our friend, Russ, decorated his bike and was in his first parade!

 That night we saw the fireworks right from our front yard!

Some fun things happened on the way to SLC...

After packing many-a-box, loading a big truck, selling two cars, and saying many good-byes we began our circuitous path to our new home in Salt Lake City.

Then we flew to Wisconsin for a Madison and Hartland visit! Stories with Great-Grandma Miriam, a hike to picnic point, many lawn mower rides, hanging out with a zebra, and catching some fish are just a few of the highlights.  To view the full album click below:

After a very fun visit we packed up and flew to Salt Lake City!
