fun and games
Daddy has been away this week on his last (wahoo!) work trip of the year! Temu and mama have had lots of time for some fun and games while he's been gone, although we'll be very happy to have him back home again!
We've been busy doing puzzles,
planting wheat grass seeds from Grandma,
going old school and listening to books on tape,
more puzzles,
watching those seeds grow,
getting a package from Auntie Carrie,
sneakily racing planes,
making eggs and using "tools" (i.e.: various kitchen utensils with unique names),
like this "egg catcher,"
and taking a day trip to the Connecticut Science Museum.
There were a lot of field trips at the science center today so it was really interesting to see Temu navigate his way through large groups of kids 2, 3, and 4 times his age. The little guy did well
and we even saw a 3-D movie!

Needless to say, we'll be glad to welcome this guy back home tomorrow!

Happy Spring!
In honor of the first day of spring Temu and mama went on a walk/bike ride through town and down the bike path. This photo is a pretty fair representation of our outer spaces these days - part old, slushy snow, part chunks of ice, and part swamp. As you can see, Temu was happy to be in it all!
When we got home we pretended it was actually summer and broke out the popsicles. Nothing like eating a popsicle in a down jacket and hat - at least they don't melt in this weather!
And, not that we're counting, but today marks 100 days away from living in easy view of the Wasatch Mountains!

Sugarloaf 2014
Daddy brought Momma and Temu along to his conference this week at Sugarloaf, Maine. It was Temu's first time skiing. Here he is excited about his (rented) ski boots.
Riding the "magic flying chair" with daddy.

Here's a little action video.
Temu had fun in the lodge too. Here he is playing with "Mustine".
Later he and "Aunt Michele" had a contest trying to throw a $1 bill paper airplane into the others mouth. Nobody won, but they laughed a lot.

March Happenings
Temu is increasingly trying to be independent (with mixed success). This weekend at the bagel store he insisted on buying his own cookie and wouldn't tolerate daddy standing near him in line. Here he is placing his order. This was a success.
At the grocery store he pushes the cart. This is a welcome change from his previous job of finding every toy in the store and yelling that he "needs" them.
On Sunday daddy and Temu went to the Springfield Falcons NBA development league game. Temu had a very hard time understanding why there were timeouts "if nobody was naughty".
